Fabrication of magnetic ZnO/ZnFe2O4/diatomite composites: improved photocatalytic efficiency under visible light irradiation

The magnetic recoverable ZnO/ZnFe2O4/diatomite (ZZFDT) composite was synthesized by hydrothermal-precipitation method. structure, optical properties and of the composites were characterized different analytical instruments. ZZFDT-1 is composed cubic spinel, hexagonal wurtzite, tetrahedron structure. SEM TEM showed that ZnO ZnFe2O4 particles loaded onto surface diatomite, particle size uniform. In addition, a typical mesoporous material with specific area 65.3 m2/g pore about 12 nm. response range extended to visible light, band gap 1.5 eV. Moreover, M–H hysteretic curves exhibited superparamagnetic properties. photocatalytic activity samples evaluated conversion rate oxytetracycline (OTC) under light. has best up 95%. Because its nature, it can be easily separated from solution. results ZZFDT good After being reused six times, still stability.
